15 Minute Sausage and Cannellini Bean Skillet

Tools and Supplies Needed:

  • 1 Cutting Board and Chefs Knife

  • Strainer OR Colander for beans

  • Measuring Spoons and Cups

  • 1 Large Saute Pan & Large Mixing Spoons

Prep

  1. Mince Garlic and Dice White Onion.

  2. Slice Beef Smoked Sausage into 1/2- Inch slices.

  3. Drain and rinse Cannellini Beans.

  4. Measure out the remaining ingredients for convenience while cooking.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp - Olive Oil

  • 12oz - Beef Smoked Sausage, 1/2-inch sliced

  • 1 Tablespoon - Garlic, Minced

  • 1/4 Cup - White Onion, Small Diced

  • 2 (15oz) Cans - Cannellini Beans, Drained and Rinsed

  • 1/2 Tablespoon - Balsamic Vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon - Kosher Salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon - Ground Black Pepper

  • 1/4 Cup - Fresh Cilantro, Rough Chopped

  • 20oz Bag - Baby Spinach

  • 1/2 Tablespoon - Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon - Red Pepper Flakes


Directions

  1. Heat a large sauté pan, over high heat. Once the pan is hot, add Olive Oil, then Beef Smoked Sausage. Cook on both sides until brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove Sausage from the pan and set it to the side until needed.

  2. Lower heat under the pan to medium heat. Add the Minced Garlic and White Onion to the pan and cook until fragrant and begin to brown, about 1 minute. Add Cannellini Beans, and season with Kosher Salt, Ground Black Pepper, and Balsamic Vinegar. Stir to combine and sauté for about 3-5 minutes, until cannellini beans are tender and have started to brown.

  3. Add sausage back into the pan, along with Spinach, and stir to combine. Continue to cook until the spinach has wilted. Remove pan from heat, top with Fresh Lemon Juice and Red Pepper Flakes, and serve!
